Project X Graphite Golf Iron Evaluation

Summary of Technology

We are going to get under way our 2010 driver reviews a bit early with the latest project x graphite driver shaft which has been a most important highlight and a little of a delightful surprise from True Temper. It was a new prize winner on the PGA games recently completed at Volvo World Match Play. That was the start of something tremendously brilliant and continues to be the talk of the most recent shafts.

Where do we begin - all I can assert is this shaft will emerge as particularly applauded - we foretell. It already is used by a couple of PGA Tour golfers have been rumored to either utilize or try out the shaft including Bo Van Pelt, Camilo Vegas, David Toms and Jason Gore. True Temper presented the project x driver shaft and hybrid together since they are made from the similar mold.

Both the project x graphite shaft and hybrid are designed with the Zonal Design Theory or ZDT. This is a True Temper proprietary science which demarcates the iron into three well defined zones. The Bottom, Mid and tip sections make up the three zones, with each designed for high performance employing a design science specific to the zone.

Bottom Section is made up of local solidness minimizing energy from a Hex-Axial Reinforcement Technology. This technique ultimately is effective for minimizing energy loss from "ovalization."

Mid Section is engineered for balanced loading and unloading for maximum energy transfer.

Tip Section is Elongated for a firmer tip which minimizes Droop and Lag and reduces spin.

Here's what Players are talking about the Project X Graphite-

"WOW! Better mileage and dispersion than the RIP 70x... I LOVE the Project X!!!

"Put an X7A3 in my Nike Tour Square. -400 rpms Backspin increased by 11 yards..tighter dispersion & better LM #'s than Oban Devotion 7"

Who's it for?

The Project X Graphite shaft is definitely for the high-end golfer seeking to reduce spin and penetrating ball flight. Mind you, it's not for the ordinary recreational player you would be better served seeking for a better launching shaft.

Pros

No doubt about it, the Project X Graphite is a high-end shaft that better golfers will love. The ultra low spin joined with a rigid tip and soft mid section will let golfers to have a very strong angle of attack to "go after" drives without loosing them.

Disadvantages

A fairly modest demand, geared for powerful players or at least better players.

Overall Rating-

The Project X Graphite Driver shaft will be without a doubt, one of the more popular shafts for 2010' - "The Evolution and Innovation never stop." Even though it was introduced this year, it will really blast off in 2010' as a driver shaft for better players searching for a way to optimize their ball flight and reduce spin. Look out!
